Our health score is based on the Nutri-Score system, an open-source, scientifically-backed nutritional rating system. It analyzes the 'good' (fiber, protein, fruits, vegetables) and 'bad' (sugar, sodium, saturated fat) components of a product's nutritional profile to provide a simple A to E grade. We source this data from the Open Food Facts database.
We provide nutritional information from two comprehensive sources: the USDA's FoodData Central (FDC) and the Open Food Facts database. The health score, however, is a feature that comes specifically from Open Food Facts.
A product may have nutritional data from either FDC or Open Food Facts, but a health score will only be displayed if it is available in the Open Food Facts database. It is also possible that some products, particularly new, store-brand, or niche items, are not yet in either database. We are always working to expand our data coverage.

We're sorry for the trouble! As a new app, we're working hard to iron out any issues. The best way to help us is to send an email to our support team with a brief description of the problem. If possible, including a screenshot is incredibly helpful for our team. You can reach us via the contact section below. Alternatively, you can use the in-app feedback form to tell us what went wrong.
